Our people are the most important asset of our company. Our team comprises experienced professionals who are specialists in the Contract Design, Development, Validation and Manufacture of Class II and Class III therapeutic, diagnostic and surgical devices.

Our approach has led to the development of a dedicated, capable and involved team, providing experience, depth, flexibility and adaptability to our organization and ultimately, accountability to the client.

Our Team includes the following:

John I Shipp, PhD (Physics), President and Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Shipp has been a driver in building shareholder value with medical device companies since 1992 that include surgical cameras, endoscopes, clip appliers, gall bladder extractors, and hernia repair devices. Previously, Dr. Shipp was CEO for Sorbx, LLC and directed its commercial plan. Dr. Shipp holds more than 100 foreign and domestic patents and patent applications. Also, Dr. Shipp designed a laser rangefinder that is on permanent exhibit at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C.

Gary Willetts, VP
Mr. Willetts joined the Company in 2007 as Vice President. Prior to joining VIMedRx, he was employed as a Regional Sales Manager with Endologix, Inc. Gary has more than 20 years of sales and management experience including the launching of new commercial products. He has held various sales and management positions with Mallinckrodt Corporation, W.L. Gore, and Medtronic.

Michael K. Bluett, M.D., VP New Product Development
Dr. Bluett joined VI MedRx in 2008 as Vice President of New Product Development. Prior to joining the company Mike was a practicing Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeon and a founding member of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgical Associates in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Bluett graduated from Eckerd College, attended the University of Florida Medical School ,and received his postgraduate training at Vanderbilt University and the University of Michigan. Dr. Bluett is board certified in General Surgery and Thoracic Surgery. He has authored numerous articles and has been an active member in numerous Surgical Organizations and as also served as a PI for many clinical trials.

J. Michael Shipp, VP
Mr. Shipp previously served as a marketing representative with Elk River Public Utilities in Tullahoma, TN from 1990-2009. Mike attended The University of Tennessee.

Advisory Council
VIMedRx Physician Advisory Counsel is a five member panel of renowned physicians skilled in the areas of general surgery, cardiovascular surgery, and peripheral and coronary interventions. This multi-disciplinary team of interventionalist, general and cv surgeons assists in the evaluation of new product opportunities and provides objective feedback throughout the product development process.

This group of private and academic physicians provides invaluable insight due to their varied training and substantial clinical experience.

Representing some of the most prestigious hospital centers in the United States, every member regularly participates in industry and non-industry sponsored clinical research and trials.

As a result, VIMedRx brings the highest level of device sophistication to each and every product development project.
